Women in Silicon Valley are on a fashion strike. When you think about the stereotypical men in the tech industry -right away in your head you get a picture of a man wearing thick lensed glasses, a sweatshirt with stains, and ungroomed hair. What picture do you get of the women in the industry?

It is hard to say what the women look like because the predictions of the women being the tech men’s copy are false. Most of the women are powerful, stylish women who not only have the brains, but also the looks. This usually overwhelms men because they are scared to think that women could be smarter than them and yet look great doing so. The world of technology is a man’s world, but the women there play by their own rules. There are no specific dress codes which gives you the freedom to dress how you want to you and not be afraid to stand out. That’s why we at Pop17 created a list of stylish and powerful women in the tech industry.
