FASHION+TECHSF presented  Fashion+Tech Expo during San Francisco Fashion Week ® 2012 . This year’s event featured app developers, fashion startups and retailers as vendors under one roof.  Guests were treated with demo products, product presentations and new product samples. They were able to network with designers, startup companies, entrepreneurs, fashion/tech professionals and fashion enthusiasts. Networking with *hot* people and cool products at Fashion+TechSF July 19th Workshop

A capacity crowd attended Fashion+TechSF‘s July 19th product presentation and industry networking workshop at Pigment Cosmetics. Product presentations included FoldiMate‘s smart clothes-folding robotic appliance, coming soon to smart laundromats and discerning retailer locations, and Unplugged Goods‘ modern tech-themed totes and product basics perfect for digital lifestyles. Industry group Atelier Advisors covered the ABCs of advisory boards and funding for entrepreneurs, while Stewart Keller, E-ttorney at Law™, gave an entertaining presentation on the ABCs of fashion copyrights and trademarks. The Google+ team are fans of fashion (and sports!) officially and are co-hosting a workshop for creative communities with Fashion+TechSF at FIDMSF on August 8th (RSVP here).

FASHION+TECHSF: Fashion Incubation Presentation with INSPIRARE 05.17.12

SFFAMAFASHION+TECHSF and fashion incubator partnerINSPIRARE held a design presentation and networking event on May 17th at Pigment CosmeticsInspirare Founder and CEO Sean Peng gave an e-commerce industry and business model overview. Anne McEnroe discussed Inspirare’s operations and production. Kate Blank, Inspirare’s Fashion Director, completed the Inspirare team on hand to meet with local fashion designers and view their presentations. SFFAMA Founder and CEO Owen Geronimoadded, “We are thrilled to partner with Inspirare to foster local talent, hone their business skills and introduce other ways of getting their products to the market. I want to offer local designers funding opportunities beyond fashion shows and photo shoots by means of incubation and crowdfunding.”

Design presentations included a leather jacket and accessories line fashioned from custom car seats by Dustin Page, luxury knitwear designs for men from Scott Mcfarland, unique denim pieces byJulian Prince Dash and re-invented hi-end patchwork denim by Gerry Kelly of Sonas Denim. Women’s wear designs included the clean sophisticated silhouettes of Audrey Szeto, the London-meets-Los Gatos effortless glamour looks from Claire Farwell ofClaire Farwell London, strong yet whimsical creations by Mariya Milovidova, a full range of pretty looks, price points and beautiful color palettes by Skylier Blanchard of Skylier Wear, and a collection of visually arresting color, contrast and dramatic detailing by Celina Martin Perez. Inspirare identified four designers for immediate inclusion in the program.

Additional presentations included a discussion on alternative funding sources by SFFAMA advisory board member Gwendolyn Wright, a product presentation by Brian Carey of HipSwap and a new product and category announcement by Gal Rozov, Founder and CEO of Fold4me. ~ Written by: ROBERT BURNS NIXON

Each product presenter will be given up to 5 minutes to introduce themselves and their product or business.

We connect fashion startups, app developers and retail/fashion entrepreneurs to human and capital resources. Find out what all the buzz is about in fashion and technology. Come learn about innovative new products and business models and the people behind them to accelerate your networking and business opportunities. Present and promote your product. Get feedback. GUEST SPEAKERS:

Since their launch one year ago, they have appeared in national magazines and television.  They are currently featured in this month’s issue of “W” and will appear on “Gossip Girl” and on “90210″ in April. Their handbags have been carried by celebrities ranging from Maria Bello, Elizabeth Hurley, Minnie Driver, and Olivia Munn to emerging stars such as Fiona Gubelmann. The company is featured in Victoria Moran’s upcoming book, “Main Street Vegan.” Victoria is a best selling author who has written 11 books and appeared twice on “Oprah.” Jill Millan’s designer is Maya Stewart, an award-winning designer of Native American descent, who has worked for luxury brands such as Judith Leiber.

Milan Lazich is co-founder of Jill Milan. He served on executive teams through two Silicon Valley IPOs and subsequent strategic acquisitions. Most recently he served as vice president of marketing for Magma, a Nasdaq-listed software company serving the global semiconductor industry. There he managed worldwide communications, including press relations, advertising, online, social media, events and lead generation. With chief responsibility for image and brand, he created and implemented marketing plans to increase revenue, improve image and expand customer base. Lazich holds a B.A. from U.C.L.A. and an M.B.A from Santa Clara University.

Karri Ann Frerichs launched Altitude Promotions, a full service sales rep and marketing company, in 2007 and manages the sales for innovative brands from around the world, travels to Los Angeles, New York, and Las Vegas for markets and fashion weeks, and continues to innovate the way sales reps do business through her online showroom, http://www.AltitudePromotion.com.  Karri Ann also operates the online shopping site, http://www.StyleElevation.comoffering complete in-season collections from each of her brands to the public.  Karri Ann is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha in public relations and the fashion merchandizing program at FIDM.
