Here’s the uncut video from my recent presentation to the FASHION+TECHSF organization at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in San Francisco. Special thanks to SF Fashion group king Owen Geronimo who invited me to speak. He also switched on his Flip camera while he shot still photos of the event. Although the video would look better edited, I decided to not edit it as people will probably find the audio helpful.
In this presentation I spoke on my three rings of YouTube success: Video Stuff, YouTubey Stuff, and Promotional Stuff. We also talked about examples of what local and national fashion brands are doing on YouTube as well as Fashion, Style, DIY and Haul Vloggers. I gave some strategies for getting higher viewer engagement in the shortest possible time at the lowest possible cost.
Many of my ideas have been liberally copied from the YouTube Creator’s Playbook and Matt Ballek’s VidiSEO, which I highly recommend. A few of the ideas are from my own experience.
